Still As A Toy

One evening, as I entered my dining area, something on the floor caught my eye.

At first, I thought it was one of those toy snakes, as I have a collection of them stored somewhere in the house.

I remember thinking: "How did one of them end up here?"

To my complete surprise, it wasn't a toy at all!

Unlike the feisty Brown House Snake I had encountered previously, this one was quite timid and surprisingly calm while being handled. After taking a few photographs, he was safely released back outside, not too far from my house.
